Spring Break Turn Out
During spring break i my bud and a couple of other guys turned out some bucking stock including bulls and broncs. I was introduced to a couple of guys. There was Tanner Williams a bull rider who tried out bareback, which ended up really funny. Then there was Tyler Hansen. A champion roper and bull rider. He was a pretty cool guy. Then there was Caleb and Eli Hendi a pair of bull riding brothers. I showed up to late for the bull riding. My friend told me he was riding at 12:30 but he rides broncs so i missed the bull riding. The only thing i saw was a warn out bull loaded up to Kody's trailer. Noahs dad took forever bringing in the stock. We probably waited a good half hour for dean to show up. Noah ended up riding three times and Tanner tried twice. Noah got bucked off the first two tries and tanner he got bucked of every time. But the last ride Noah rode for prbbly a good ten seconds. On Noahs second try his bronc ran into Deans horse. We couldnt stop laughing. Then on the third try Noah had a solid ride. It was probably around ten seconds. When he fell off i heard the fence get hit. I thought it was Noah's big noggan hitting the fence.

Family
Its crossed my mind that something to compete for is the love of your family and show them that with the help of their love you and achieve the greatest of all feets. It's amazing how much of who you are is rooted in from where you came from.Wether you want to admit it or not your family means a lot to you.Garunteed if someone close to you died youd cry and wish you enjoyed the time with them that you had.Now im not saying youll always get along because with every relationship you have its not going to be perfect. Its going to be bumpy.Every beautiful body of water has its storms. But even if your mad at them you should still love them.I just want to say thanks to my family and i love them.
Friends
Friends.Life means nothing if you dont have anyone there to enjoy it with you.Wether it be girlfriends best friends, or imaginary friends.Friends make life a whole lot better. Now how does friends tie into rodeo? Well hell they make you work twice as hard and they make sure you dont give up.My closest friends have always been there for me and ive done my best to return the favor. So through thick and then beginning to end, you can always count on your brother to go through hell with you and reep the rewards of heaven also.
Practice Makes Perfect
Well i went in the other week to get my hair cut from my barber Kevin Coblance who is Kody's father.Turns out his got bucking stock. So i asked if i could practice on them and he gave me the thumbs up.That was my second worry on rodeo.Getting enough practice.Because at first its learning the basics, then when you have the basics down practice, practice, practice and more practice. Thats the only way you can get good.It took some of the best in the sport more then a hundred.I need to accomplish this many within a year to be able to be a good competitor in state next year. That is my dream.Go to state, ride the best and win a buckle and saddle. So i need practice to get where i want to go.So im willing to pay the price to be good at this.

The Ultimate Beast

Since Greek mythology the bull has always held the rank of being a menacing creature. They created the minotaur half man and half bull. This would scare many travelers and entertain children. In todays society the bull is still a player in rodeo.Probably the most well know event in rodeo is the bull riding. My sport.Bulls dont scare me like they scarred the men of old. They are dangerous but its not like they want to hurt you. They just want to buck you off and get on with their business.People will hit you a lot sooner.Well turns out stock contractors are breeding their bulls to be ruthless now.But im looking at this as more of a challenge. But you still need god on your side.

The High Of Rodeo

and a hundred before that
All gathered in the thinkin'
Goin' on beneath this hat.
The cold flame burns within him
'Til his skin's as cold as ice
And the dues he paid to get here
Are worth every sacrifice.
All the miles spend sleepy drivin'
All the money down the drain,
All the 'if I's' and 'nearly's,'
All the bandages and pain,
All the female tears left dryin',
All the fever and the fight
Are just a small down payment
On the ride he makes tonight.
It's guts and love and glory,
One mortal's chance at fame.
His legacy is rodeo
And cowboy is his name.
School In April

Rodeo just isnt a sport. To many Americans its part of their lifestyle. My grandpa grew up watching rodeo's and so have I. Its part of Americas history and legacy. Part of the history i hope remains long enough for my children to grow up enjoying what i had to enjoy. The feeling from just thinking about it puts adrenaline in my chest. The fires of competition growing waiting for April. This is the way April's going to go down. I'm hitching a ride with Kody Coblance. He's going to the school for bull fighting which is more widely known as rodeo clowning. Caleb Henne is also coming along. He's a fellow bull rider but not the greatest. From what i know he's a good kid. We're all shacking up together at a 2 cent hotel.I sure hope i don't have to share a bed with Kody.So back to the school. The first day is going to be a tutorial based class session and includes mechanical riding and 1 live bull ride. The second day is more live riding on as many livestock as you can handle. On the third day is the competition.Where im going to win the buckle.Just kidding bout that but i am going to do my best. The high school rodeo's start up before that so the hard part is earning enough money to by the equipment so i can make it to state
